A limited risk at the board, a large one at admission — that difference is the point.

HSC 2027 Suggestions

At SSC, leaning on a suggestion carries one risk — that the paper comes from outside it. At HSC there are two, because an admission test follows within months and assumes the full syllabus.

Separate the two risks

A board paper has a limited number of creative questions and lets you choose among them, so a suggestion helps to a degree. An admission test is multiple choice across the whole syllabus with no choosing — there, skipping chapters is losing marks directly.

What a reliable suggestion looks like

  • It names the years of papers it analysed.
  • It shows chapter density rather than claiming a "certain" question.
  • It analyses the two papers separately.
  • It states the risk of the chapters it omits.

The safe order of use

  1. Read the full syllabus at least once — for the admission test that is compulsory.
  2. Then use a suggestion to order your revision.
  3. It helps on the creative part, not on multiple choice.
  4. Compare several — where they agree is the strong signal.

What must stay outside the suggestion

Formulas, definitions, units and core concepts are not part of any suggestion — they are spread across the whole syllabus and admission questions frequently come straight from them. However much you use a suggestion, building a separate condensed notebook of formulas and definitions is essential, and it serves you at both the board and the admission test.

Decisions on syllabus and paper structure come by board notice; check it before relying on any suggestion.
