The real difficulty of HSC preparation is not the size of the syllabus but that it serves two different goals at once — a board exam and a university admission test — and the two do not ask for the same thing.

What each goal demands

Missing that distinction, many study only for the board until the end of class 12 and then start admission preparation in the two months after the result — which amounts to reading the whole syllabus again. Students who kept both goals in view from the start need those two months only to sharpen.

How to run both together
