There are two extreme positions on suggestions — some study nothing else, others reject them outright. Both are wrong, because a suggestion is a tool, and a tool’s worth depends on how it is used.
What a suggestion is actually for
A good suggestion analyses past papers and shows how often questions have come from each chapter. That information is valuable, because it tells you where limited attention returns most. It does not tell you which question will come this time — a suggestion claiming that is selling, not analysing.
Recognising a reliable suggestion
- It says clearly which years’ papers were analysed.
- It shows chapter-wise density rather than declaring a question "certain".
- It includes nothing from outside the syllabus.
- It states the risk of the chapters it leaves out.
The safe way to use one
- Read the whole syllabus at least once first, then pick up a suggestion.
- Use it as a revision order, not as a reading list.
- Never lean on it for the multiple-choice part — that comes from the whole book.
- Compare several; where they agree is the most reliable signal.
The risk that catches someone every year
Depending wholly on a suggestion means staking your result on a guess. If the paper comes from outside it — and it regularly does — there is no way back, because the other chapters were never read at all. Someone who read the whole syllabus once and then revised from a suggestion finds even an unexpected question not entirely unfamiliar.
Decisions on syllabus and paper structure come by board notice; check it before relying on any suggestion.

Frequently asked questions
That is a risky bet. If the paper comes from outside it there is no way back, because the other chapters were never read.
One that names the years it analysed, shows chapter-wise density, and never declares a question "certain".
Very little, because those questions come from the whole book. There is no substitute for breadth here.
