Faujdarhat Cadet College is Bangladesh’s first cadet college, founded on 28 April 1958 at Salimpur in Sitakunda upazila, Chattogram. Its 184-acre campus set the pattern that the country’s other cadet colleges followed.

Faujdarhat Cadet College admission circular 2026-27 — where it stands
This page carries no Class XI seat table and no GPA cut-off, and that is the correct answer — a cadet college does not admit at Class XI. Sites that publish a "Class XI cut-off" for one are answering a question the institution does not have.
⚠️ Two of the army’s own sources disagree on who founded it. The college’s own history page names Field Marshal Muhammad Ayub Khan as founder and calls Lt Col W. M. Brown the first principal (September 1958 – November 1965); the army’s central page calls Brown the founder. Both are official, so rather than pick one we record the disagreement.
About Faujdarhat Cadet College
It opened as East Pakistan Cadet College and was renamed Faujdarhat Cadet College in 1965. By the alumni body’s account the first intake began with just 59 cadets in classes VII and VIII; to date 3,424 cadets have passed out.
The college motto is "Deeds Not Words". Its four houses are named Rabindra, Nazrul, Fazlul Huq and Shahidullah, and each carries its own motto: "Strike And Strive", "They Live Who Dare", "Never Give In" and "We Shall Never Surrender".

Can you join Faujdarhat Cadet College in Class XI?
The short answer is no. A cadet college recruits only into Class VII, and those cadets carry on to Class XII — so the Class XI places are already filled. There is no route in from outside after SSC, and no cadet college appears in the central Class XI roster (we checked all 5,134 institutions across 9 general boards and 66 districts on 2 September 2026 — not one is there).

How students actually get into Faujdarhat Cadet College
Entry to Faujdarhat Cadet College is at Class VII, through a single national entrance examination rather than an application to one college. The form is at cadetcollegeadmission.army.mil.bd, and the order of preferred cadet colleges is given there.
Selection runs in stages — a written examination first, then a viva for those who pass, and a medical examination. Each stage must be cleared separately; failing one ends the process there.
The application is made once for all cadet colleges together, not to any single one. Which college a selected candidate goes to is settled by the result and by preference.
Since 2003 every cadet college has taught the English version of the national curriculum, so after admission the textbooks are the national ones, taught in English.
