Barishal Cadet College admission circular 2026-27 — where it stands
Cadet colleges do not admit at Class XI, so there is no cut-off here. The Class VII intake is not on the college’s history page either — that figure sits inside the national admission circular as a PDF.
⚠️ We could not find this college’s motto on any official page, not even in an archived older version. So the motto is left out — what could not be verified is not written here.
About Barishal Cadet College
A national policy lay behind the conversion, and the college’s own history explains it. Four cadet colleges had been built before independence on the British public-school model; afterwards, eight more were added to meet the demand for high-standard education at secondary and higher secondary level. Barishal is one of those eight.
Its founder principal was Mr M. Mufazzal Hussain, who was also the project director. One person holding both roles says something about the nature of the conversion: turning a working school into a new structure was an administrative job and a building job at once.

Can you join Barishal Cadet College in Class XI?
The short answer is no. A cadet college recruits only into Class VII, and those cadets carry on to Class XII — so the Class XI places are already filled. There is no route in from outside after SSC, and no cadet college appears in the central Class XI roster (we checked all 5,134 institutions across 9 general boards and 66 districts on 2 September 2026 — not one is there).
| What people search for | The actual answer |
|---|---|
| Minimum GPA for Class XI | প্রযোজ্য নয় — একাদশে ভর্তি নেই / Not applicable — there is no Class XI intake |
| Any route in after SSC | নেই / None |
| The class it does admit into | ৭ম শ্রেণি / Class VII |
How students actually get into Barishal Cadet College
Entry to Barishal Cadet College is at Class VII, through a single national entrance examination rather than an application to one college. The form is at cadetcollegeadmission.army.mil.bd, and the order of preferred cadet colleges is given there.
Selection runs in stages — a written examination first, then a viva for those who pass, and a medical examination. Each stage must be cleared separately; failing one ends the process there.
The application is made once for all cadet colleges together, not to any single one. Which college a selected candidate goes to is settled by the result and by preference.
Since 2003 every cadet college has taught the English version of the national curriculum, so after admission the textbooks are the national ones, taught in English.
