The split across two papers and the practical — as much as is knowable without numbers.

HSC 2028 Mark Distribution

বাংলায় পড়তে চাও? দেখো: এইচএসসি ২০২৮ নম্বর বণ্টন

At HSC, "how many marks in this subject" has a structure for an answer rather than a number, because the marks divide across two papers and, where there is a practical, a third part.

The shape of the split

That three-level structure has been stable for years. How many marks sit at each level is set by board instruction and can change between cohorts — this page asserts no figures.

LevelHow it divides
The subjectInto a 1st and a 2nd paper
Each paperInto a creative and a multiple-choice part
Subjects with a practicalTheory and practical separately

Why the numbers are not knowable now

The split is tied to the syllabus decision, which differs by cohort and is announced close to the exam year. Planning on an earlier cohort’s table is therefore risky, and what circulates online under this name is not taken from any board circular.

What is possible without the numbers

  • Reading every chapter of both papers at least once.
  • Practising creative answers tier by tier.
  • Keeping the practical notebook current.
  • Marking which paper is the harder one for you.

What changes when it arrives

An announcement changes not what you read but how you divide your hours. A heavier multiple-choice weight moves the read-everything-once task earlier; a heavier creative weight means more time per chapter. The foundation work is the same either way, which is why putting time into it now is safe.

No mark distribution has been published for the 2028 cohort. A table will be added here when it is.
