Class 9-10 Biology Book
বাংলায় পড়তে চাও? দেখো: নবম-দশম শ্রেণির জীববিজ্ঞান বই
Biology differs from the other two sciences: less calculation, far more terminology and diagrams. The method that works for physics does not transfer to it.
The chapters
The book opens with the study of life and classification, then cells and tissues, cell division, bioenergetics, food and nutrition, blood and circulation, respiration, excretion, support and movement, coordination, reproduction, heredity and evolution, and biotechnology. The human-body chapters interlock — reading circulation without understanding respiration leaves the picture incomplete.

Draw the diagrams yourself
In biology a diagram is not decoration — a labelled diagram carries marks directly, and drawing one is how you discover which part you have not actually understood. Draw it once with the book open, then close the book and draw it again. The cell, the heart, the nephron, the neuron and flower structure appear in some form on nearly every paper.
Holding the terminology
- Beside each new term, write its function in one line.
- Put confusable pairs side by side and mark the difference.
- Note both the Bangla and English names — either can appear.
- At the end of a chapter, cover the list and try to recall it.

Frequently asked questions
On many questions a labelled diagram carries marks directly — and drawing one reveals which part you have not understood.
Write each term’s function beside it in one line. A name alone does not stick; a name attached to a function does.
Not well — they interlock. Reading circulation without respiration leaves the picture incomplete.
