Class 6 English Book
বাংলায় পড়তে চাও? দেখো: ষষ্ঠ শ্রেণির ইংরেজি বই
The class 6 English book teaches a language rather than a subject. What happens here is habit formation — reading a little English daily, noting new words, and finding the nerve to build your own sentences.
How the book is arranged
The book is arranged in units, each with several lessons, pictures, vocabulary and exercises. The topics are familiar — family, school, games, festivals, nature — so that while reading, the language is the only new thing. The pictures are not decoration: the meaning of an unfamiliar word can often be guessed from them.

If your English is weak
The commonest mistake is going quiet out of embarrassment and turning the page without understanding. The lessons here are short, so finishing one properly before the next is possible — and it is the only method that works. If ten words are unfamiliar in the first lesson, note all ten; by the second the number falls on its own.
How to use this book
- Read each lesson once without a dictionary.
- Note the unfamiliar words, look them up, and read it again.
- Use each new word in a sentence of your own.
- After the exercises, read the lesson aloud once.
