From application to recommendation — the full map of the process.

Teacher Registration Application and Public Notice

বাংলায় পড়তে চাও? দেখো: শিক্ষক নিবন্ধন আবেদন ও গণবিজ্ঞপ্তি

Holding a registration certificate and being appointed as a teacher are not the same thing — between them sits the public notice, under which certificate holders apply against vacant posts. Missing that distinction is the commonest confusion in the whole process.

The steps of the process

  1. The registration exam circular is published and you apply online.
  2. Clearing the three stages: preliminary, written and viva.
  3. Successful candidates receive the registration certificate.
  4. A public notice is issued against vacant posts.
  5. Certificate holders apply with an order of preference.
  6. Recommendations are published by merit and preference.

How to build your preference list

When ordering preferences under the public notice, two things have to be weighed together — where you want to work and how likely a recommendation is there. Filling the list with a few institutions in your own area raises the risk of no recommendation at all; filling it indiscriminately with distant ones can make joining hard once a recommendation arrives.

Mistakes that stall the process

  • Name or date of birth not matching the certificates.
  • Entering the wrong subject code — the recommendation can be cancelled.
  • Keeping the preference list too narrow.
  • Applying on the last day of the window.

The certificate and what follows

After the certificate you can apply under successive public notices, so a first round without a recommendation is not the end. But the rules on validity and application conditions do change from time to time, so read the terms of each notice separately.

Deadlines, fees and conditions are set separately in each notice — check the current one at ntrca.gov.bd.
