Khulna is a divisional city, but in education-board terms it does not have a board of its own — its colleges fall under the Jashore Education Board. That single fact confuses a lot of applicants, because here the board and the division are not the same thing.
In practice this creates no obstacle: the central application does not care about boards, and Khulna’s colleges appear under Jashore’s roster. But when you go looking for a notice or a result you go to the Jashore board’s site, not a Khulna one — because there is no such board.
The second thing that sets Khulna apart is scale. The district has noticeably fewer colleges than Rajshahi or Chattogram, so applications concentrate on the good ones. Fewer options also means a badly ordered list costs more here than elsewhere.

When you go looking for a notice or a result, go to the Jashore board’s website. Any site calling itself the “Khulna Education Board” is unofficial, and during the season sites like that are exactly where wrong dates come from.
Daulatpur, Khalishpur and the city centre feel close together, but the commute still has to match the shift. Work out, before you enrol, how early you would have to leave your area to make a morning-shift class.

A warning: many websites are still republishing last year's (2025-26) schedule as "2026-27" with only the year changed — those pages show applications opening in July, which is wrong for this cycle. Check the original notice on xiclassadmission.gov.bd before you apply.
