Class 7 Mathematics Book
বাংলায় পড়তে চাও? দেখো: সপ্তম শ্রেণির গণিত বই
Nothing dramatic happens in class 7 mathematics, and that is its danger. The shock of algebra registers in class 6 and the pressure of SSC begins in class 8 — in the quiet middle year gaps form silently and surface two years later.
What this year is for
The algebraic idea introduced in class 6 goes into use this year — in ratio, percentage, simple equations and geometric reasoning. The work is less about learning something new than about applying what came before, which is precisely why last year’s gaps bite here.

The habit that exposes a gap
When a problem defeats them, most students read the solution, feel they have understood, and move on — and that is where the gap stays, because "understood the solution" and "can do it" are different things. Instead, mark the problem and try it again three days later without the solution. If it defeats you a second time the gap is conceptual rather than practical, and you need to go back a chapter.
How to use this book
- Before each chapter, review the previous chapter’s formulas once.
- Work the exercise in order rather than picking problems.
- Mark what defeated you and retry it three days later.
- If it defeats you again, go back a chapter.
Frequently asked questions
Less that is new than application — class 6 algebra is here put to use in ratio, percentage and equations.
No. "Understood the solution" and "can do it" are different. Retrying three days later without the solution shows the real position.
Gaps form silently and surface in classes 8 and 9, when repairing them is far harder.
